I am working in MNC asTraining and Development manager.
what are the skills required for a person to become a CEO of any company?
What are the strategies to be followed?
Can any one throw light on this?

The CEO shall be a perfectionist-cum-visionary, in the Enneagram Personality type. He shall have attention to details as well. He shall have a helicopter view of everything.
CEO shall be as resilent as an ocean; in rough weathers, he shall stay the mast up.
The financial ratios he should be looking for shall show remarkable improvement in "Bottomline" and "Topline" growth.
He shall a good communicator; communicate in simple language, even the most complex concepts. He shall specify what he wants and by what time; but shall not 'prescribe' as to the HOW of things to be done to achieve.
'Caring-for-people', compassion of the highest order, yet uncomprising on RESULTS to be expected.
Deploy the vision to everyone in the organisation; so that they understand 'shared vision' in its true spirit. Lead by the sidelines, he shall set the direction; should it fail.
Recognition ansd Rewards instantly are the good qualities he shouls have.

:D Well Geetha. Good thayt you've asked this. Because this is a question addressed by me, quite long back !
1)How long, which sector, and at what level you have been in, over the years, in the HRprofession?
2)What do you mean by CEO ? ( CEO = Business Head, Enterprise Head of a multiple business corporation ? say, Engg& Exports) I know a couple of HR guys, but heading businesses like, Engg & Exports, Business Development, Marketing, Corpoarte Planning & Strategy etc., etc.
Possibly, answers to this might permit me venture further.
But, I have answers to your specific question, as well.
If you don't mind, please let me know the location fro where you work, because it matters, in this context.
Regards,
M.S.Sreekumar
