Dear,

Greetings of the day! I am Mangal S. Arora. I am currently working in Real Estate in Noida as an HR Head for the past 9 months. I completed my MBA from July 2008 to 2010. I am feeling a bit confused as I am considering pursuing something different from my current job. I am interested in undertaking a course or diploma that will be beneficial for my career. I have the time to dedicate to such endeavors, and if it is through distance learning, that would be even better. However, I am specifically looking for options in Delhi. As a Senior in the field, I would appreciate your insights on what would be the best path for me.

I am eagerly awaiting your guidance. Take care and God bless you.

Thanks & Regards,
Mangal S. Arora

Dear Mr. Arora,

As you have mentioned that you are working as an HR Head in Real Estate in Noida for the past 9 months, it indicates that you are an experienced individual well-versed in the current HR landscape and the challenges faced by HR professionals today.

You understand the importance of HR and possess knowledge of its key functions, such as Staffing, Performance Appraisals, Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, Employee and Labor Relations, Safety and Health, and Human Resource Research. I refer to these as my "7 Stars of HR," encompassing crucial aspects of HR management. Considering the latest trends in the HR field, I recommend exploring SAP-HR, which is highly sought after and essential in today's HR environment.

I offer this advice with humility, Mr. Arora, as a fellow HR professional sharing insights on the evolving HR landscape.

In conclusion, I suggest that pursuing a SAP-HR course would be a valuable investment of your time. I have included details about SAP HR course modules that may assist you in making an informed decision.

Kind regards,
Mangal S. Arora

Dear Mangal:

I look at your issue slightly differently. You are already an HR Head. I do not know how big your organization is and the size of the team you are leading. Anyhow, you are the Head of HR of an organization, which is really good. Also, I see that you have only been in the position for 9 months. I think it would be better for you to strengthen your knowledge intensively in some areas and extensively in other aspects of HR so that you can groom yourself for handling the HR Department of a larger organization. When you receive a challenging assignment in a leading organization, you should not be discouraged by what is difficult. This is Action Plan I, and I would like to suggest it.

If you still have some time and energy left, please consider studying law, which will greatly benefit your career advancement.

Good luck.

R. Sundararajan

Greetings,

I appreciate all the suggestions made by you in this discussion. I second Mr. Anil Kumar Arora and Mr. R. Sundarajan, and request you to consider the advanced level courses. You may consider a strategy and business-oriented course. A Ph.D. in the long run would suit your leadership role and give you an edge over your contemporaries. There are institutes that offer courses while working with top-level pedagogy in the country.
