Dear All,
I got my PF Amount in the Dec 2010 from my Previous Employer and as per the rules I have Filed the Form 19(PF) and as well 10C for EPS withdrawal.
Issue: The Previous Employer Stating that the EPS Claim Takes 10 - 12 Months, I want to Know the Exact TAT According to the EPS Act. Actually In how many Days does this EPS has to be Credited to the Employee Account after the employee receiving the PF Amount.
Thanks in advance for all your Reply's.
Thanks&Regards

If you have filed form 10C after having worked for 10 years (9 years and six months, at least) you will not get the EPS back in lumpsum but as pension on your attaining the age of 58. On the other hand, if you had filed it for withdrawal benefit only, you will get it soon, since you have already received the PF portion. Any way, as advised by your employer, it will not take 10 to 12 months. To know the status of your application please visit the website of EPFO, preferably of your Region.

  • Not sure whether PF authorities have set any TAT. And even if they have set one, hardly they follow one and obviously there is no accountability or penalty for not following TAT
  • Some cases there get settled within reasonable time of 2-3 months but many cases get delayed for months for various reasons and excuses. PF being a government dept. what else you can expect.
  • A particular case may get stuck and unless you go inquire and dig out it may not move forward. PF Dept are notorious for not communicating anything. They will simply keep your form aside in case it is incomplete or some information is not provided by employer. You get to know about this only in case you do follow-ups.
  • So if you want your PF settled fast, go there and do vigorous follow-up and have patience.

Dear Mr. Ravi, the time limit for settlement of a claim by PF Offices is 30 days statutorily. in case claim forms are in order.
in ur case ,since u have recd. PF amount, the Form 10-c should have also been settled by now. However, if ur service period is more than 10 years, P.F office will issue a scheme certificate ,else, will have to settle with in 30 days.
now if 30 days have elapsed, u may seek remedy by filing a complaint in the competent consumer forum.

Thank you One and All for your Replys.
As per my previous Employer I got the Acknowledgement of Submited my Form10C for claiming the EPS at the Govt EPF office on 30/Mar/2011 and Now on EPFO site I am able to see the status as:
Status : CLAIM FORM 10C FOR WITHDRAWAL BENEFIT/SCHEME CERTIFICATE FOR MEMBER HAS BEEN RECEIVED ON 07.05.2011 IS UNDER PROCESS.
Hence from 07/05/2011 it may take 2-3 Months to get the amount credit in my account if there are no issues and the form get processed sucessfully.
Right!

  • You should know your PF Account No.
  • In case you want to withdraw your PF download form No. 19 from any PF website, form is same thruout India. Fill it and send it to your employer in Mumbai. Employer will certify that form and send it to Mumbai PF Office for settlement.
  • First do follow up with your employer then with PF Office if needed.
  • You need not visit PF office. Make use of phone, email, post.
