Could anybody help out to know what is meant by a Pivot table and how it has to be created? I know that this table helps to fetch employees' data, but if you have any samples of the same, please post it or send it to premajobs@gmail.com.

Good Day,
A Pivot Table is used to fetch the data according to our needs or format, specifying which columns we require for easy sorting. For example, if an employee works for 12 hours daily for a total of 15 days, the sum total can be displayed in the last column. To view only the employee ID and the total hours worked, one can easily do so through a Pivot Table.
Steps:
1. Select a new or existing sheet.
2. Go to the Insert option.
3. Select Pivot Table.
4. A dialog box will open with some formulas; simply click on OK. Another pop-up will appear with the sheet field names. Select the exact column you need to sort the data by.
5. Check the box for the needed column and click OK.
An attached sample Excel sheet provides an example of the process.

Hi Sayeed, Thanks for your post... i have one more clarification, is this table is used for entering employee data’s like DOB, GENDER, Designation etc??
