May I know what level you are at, and if you are unaware, how come you are recruiting an AM HR? Do you own a company? If yes, then it could be a grey area, but if you are working for a company, then my dear, your juniors won't like you. You need to ask him about his successes, failures, achievements, compensation, his HR knowledge, etc. Got it? I can write more, but it won't help.

Dear Gaggan,

While you are a part of this forum, we would appreciate it if you use formal and decent language when answering a query. There are a lot of newcomers on this forum, and it is read by many senior-level professionals. With this kind of language, they may form a wrong perception about you. So, please be patient with the newcomers and keep sharing.

In terms of HR, Industrial Relations (IR) encompasses primarily the laws mandated by the government for any establishment, factory, or organization that must be adhered to. Furthermore, it includes aspects such as trade unions, their welfare schemes, grievances, and rights etc.

Thank you.

The interview questions you ask the prospective candidates will be based on the Position Description and Person Specification you have written for the Assistant Manager HR Position.

You need to ensure that the successful candidate can perform the duties you have specified, so I am not sure why you are asking this question. Could it be that you do not have a proper PD and PS? If your recruitment processes are not up to scratch, then you will not get the best staff and the people you need to drive your business forward.

Hi,

In an interview related to an HR assistant, the questions are asked according to the specific job post. For example, if the focus is on a Legal Adviser HR Assistant, the questions will revolve around law and industrial relations (IR). Similarly, if the role is for a Training and Placement Assistant Manager, the questions will be related to general training.

I am sending you some general questions and outlining the basic roles of HR managers, officers, and executives. I hope this information will be helpful to you.
