Dear All,
I joined the site in Sep. 2010, but I have not used it because I am not aware of how to use it. I have one question: if an employee was previously under ESI but has now come out from ESI, is she still eligible for ESI?
Thanks,
Soma

If the employee's monthly gross salary is above 15000/-, then she will not be covered under ESIC. However, ESI has two contribution periods, and contributions should not be stopped in between, even if there is an increase in the employee's gross salary:
1. From April to September
2. From October to March
