Dear Friends,
I need expert advice on my problem. It goes like this: my previous company submitted my PF application to the PF office in Bangalore on 14th September 2010 (my last working day was 31st March 2010 - such a huge delay!). The PF office says my March 2010 PF card has not been submitted. The same thing was communicated to my ex-office, which duly submitted it this month on the 14th.
My question is, how much more time do I need to wait?
Please help.
Regards,

Dear Gopinath,
Your Date of leaving: 31st March 2010.
Your previous company submitted application: 14th Sep 2010.
PF office asking March 2010 PF Contribution details:
You have not mentioned if you have submitted an application for withdrawing or transferring your PF amount.
1. For withdrawing PF amount, the application will be accepted by PF authorities only after 60 days from the date of your leaving. (No such condition is required for transferring your PF from the previous employer to the current employer).
2. PF accounting year is March to Feb.
3. Your previous employer should have submitted the annual returns of PF only up to Feb 2010.
4. Since settling your account (either withdrawal or transfer), PF office needs your March 2010 contribution details.
5. Your previous employer, while submitting your application, should have enclosed your March 2010 contribution details in Form 3A which they didn't.
6. If Form 3A had been submitted along with your application, PF authorities will take a maximum of 40 days to settle your claim.
So, submitting your application 60 days + 40 days for processing = 100 days (for withdrawal). For transfer, only 40 days.
Hope I have cleared your doubt.

Udaykumar,
Thanks for your feedback on PF contribution details. Is there any procedure where an employee can mention his/her PF account number (say of Maharashtra) and know the latest balance of the Provident Fund in his account? Please advise.
