The basic objective of any Labour Law is to protect the workmen from injustice and illegal act of the employer. Let it be Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Maternity Benefit Act, ESI Act, Provident Fund Act, Industrial Disputes Act or other the objective remain the same, justice to workmen, ensuring welfare, security, health and well being of the workmen, social security to workmen or providing a machinery to settle grievances or disputes of workmen.
