Friends!

I working for a reputed MNC for 17 months, and after that I got an offer from an another company with an mere hike of 20 percent. After I joined I was not feeling comfortable with the people, and the Hr policies work atmosphere and I was not able to access pc for 20 days and the training was there was a confliction among the managers TL’s too I felt very uncomfortable and decided to quit I sent a formal e-mail to the hr dept and managers they did not accepted my resignation letter I was with the company for 2 months they asked me to serve the notice period of 30 days as the company paid me the salary of 2months. I explained them I have been into training for these two months and Im going to be in the training for the 30 days of notice period which would increase the companies investment over me. And finally they allowed me to go… But I was not given any formal letter saying I was relived. will I be black listed…… Is there a way where I could know whether im I black listed. I clearly explained what happening in the process to the Hr but I don’t thing they would be favorable to me and I have no idea what the process managers have told them about me.

How would I know what happened. Even the accused involved in million of rupees get the chance of justifying themselves and the convicted accuse of murder case gets an opportunity get a chance to argue for their defense when these could happen with them why can it happen to with me. To whom the NASCOM listen to me or the companies which follows this unfair practice im into confusion.

Its not just me there could hundreds of people like me who becomes victim of this unfair practice followed by some companies.

Straight to the point I want to know is my name in the blacklisted list of NASCOM or NOT. Honestly im not the Job-hopper I left the company with any offer letter form any of the employer I have seen few peoples raised this questions but not get exact answer would be graceful if I get the answer.

Could any one please help me……

Hello Dhivaharan,

I am sorry to say this, but I think it's YOU who is being 'unfair' to the Company by branding their practices as 'unfair'. They are only trying to protect their interests--nothing wrong in that.

You did the first mistake in joining this Company & by your own admission, with "a mere hike of 20 percent". Then why did you join them in the first place--if you thought the hike was 'mere'? Isn't it a case of YOU wasting their time & effort in hiring you rather than the other way round? FYI, there would be many for whom a hike of 20% would be a royal sum--it all depends on the circumstances one is in at the given point-of-time.

Second point is it would have been better if you mentioned 'WHY' you were "not feeling comfortable with the people, and the Hr policies work atmosphere". Everyone has different reasons for the same responses--that's human nature. And there's no right or wrong response--ONLY responses APPROPRIATE to the situation(s). This also goes to highlight the point I mentioned above--that it's YOU who is being unfair--who stopped you from making the basic research about the Company BEFORE joining? It's understandable if a Fresher joins without doing any research about the new Employer [not because he/she can't do it, but the urge to join a job ASAP is higher in them], but coming from an experienced person, that's a bit of a surprise.

Coming to your basic query:"will I be black listed", why are you so worried/scared? Just go about making your efforts to get another job. Unless you are hiding something from this Forum. I am sure NASCOM has more important things to do than keep a tab over such cases.

Hello Mr Dhivaharan,

I think you have got confused to a point that you need proper rest mentally and you need to understand certain things before you take up another assignment.

Firstly, no company blacklists employees, even if you have done great mistake, no company blacklists people. Yes, certain companies would not hire you once they fire you but, there is no policy of blacklisting and that too you have mentioned NASCOM, meaning that you have become schizophrenic or megalomaniacal.

Sorry to say that, but it happens to too many of us, when you are young and when you are below 35.

I will tell you certain things, please follow them for your good benefit.

1. Don’t blame HR department for all those conflicts you faced because they are the one who hire you and fire you because it is there duty to do so (note: - see I am a non HR person, saying this).

2. If your computer was blocked for 20 days, why are you frustrated? Hang around until they give you permission to use it again. You need to mingle with people around and be a good team player that is why you are hired.

3. You might have joined a wrong company or a right company at a wrong time. So, please don’t regret. Get another job. You will do well, provided you understand others.

Wishing you good luck!
