Dear Cite Contribution,
Thank you for your kind effort in providing your comments.
I have prepared this without any references or resources, solely based on my understanding from International Business Environment (IBE).
I am referring to the real-time business situations in the world as International Business.
1. What are the main issues that businesses today are facing?
2. What suggestions do you have to overcome these challenges?
Please share your comments and ideas on this matter.
For a brief and concise understanding, I would like to share an article from "The World Around Us" with all seniors as follows:
"We are living in a fast-changing world. With new emerging technologies and rapid expansion of the internet, email, e-commerce, etc., access to global information, knowledge, and commodity markets worldwide is now much easier than before. In a bid to meet commitments to international institutions like the World Trade Organization (WTO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and World Bank, country after country is pulling down barriers to foreign trade and investment. For many countries, tariff barriers are decreasing, and new opportunities for foreign investors and entrepreneurs are emerging. On the domestic front, there are clear signals of privatization and liberalization as licensing is being eliminated, controls are dismantled, restrictive laws are being removed or rendered toothless, disinvestment programs in the public sector are being pursued, and takeover codes are being modified to facilitate mergers and acquisitions. Taking advantage of the liberal atmosphere, multinational/transnational corporations are expanding their operations in the economy at an aggressive pace and adapting their marketing strategies to local conditions. Thus, the entire economic business environment is undergoing a drastic change. The coming years might witness the extinction of many businesses and significant realignments in others through consolidation, restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
Due to the recent changes sweeping the entire business sector, there is a need for a serious and in-depth study of the business environment in general and the international environment in particular. The growing global trade and the integration of national economies with the global economy further underline the importance of understanding the international environment. Operating in unfamiliar environments different from the domestic one, enterprises need to be extra careful and vigilant in recognizing these environmental differences. In the context of international business, the environment plays a critical role as no two countries have similar environments, requiring different business strategies to adapt to varying conditions. When deciding to enter international business, firms face two major decision problems: selecting the market(s) and determining how to enter those markets."
I hope this helps in providing insights into the current business landscape.
