Comprehensive Guide to Maintaining HR Registers in Bangalore: Compliance with Labor Laws - CiteHR

I have recently joined as an HR assistant. Can anyone help me with what and how many registers should be followed in the office in Bangalore, Karnataka? Currently, we are maintaining eight records, which include:

1. Register of Contractor.
2. Muster Roll.
3. Register of Wages.
4. Register of Deduction for Damage and Loss.
5. Register of Fines.
6. Register of Advance.
7. Register of Overtime.
8. Combined Muster Roll Cum Register of Wages.

I would like to know if all these registers are mandatory in Bangalore.

Dear, there are approximately 40 Central Acts related to labor, besides local laws. Each Act prescribes one or another register depending on the nature of the activity carried out by the establishment. Additionally, local authorities prescribe many registers according to their wisdom and convenience for inspection and verification. The details are difficult to mention. Whatever is mentioned in other replies are the least and important.
