Dear CiteHr Members-
Recently i had a Job offer from a Travel company and the Owner of the company was also Outsourced by a US Travel Co , I was under impression that i too will be associated with US company, however when i discussed the salary slip It came as if the Manager has hired me for his US travel Co and only His name will be on the SSlip , This meant though i am servicing US Travel Companies Clients Technically i am working for this manager here in India under his name not even the company name.
Any suggestions to straighten things out... NO contract signed NO Appointment letter yet issued its been just a month.
Can such a salary slip can even exists? Please guide!

I hope members take note of your plight and offer suggestions.
If you have sufficient documentation, may be you can file a case for misrepresentation and cheating.

Legally speaking the documents will speak.If the offer spells out mis-representation then you have legal re-course.
As it is still in the offer stage unless you accept it a contract does not come into existence.if you refuse it you will be out of the mess that you say you are likely to get in.

Just for Info- The offer letter was only emailed and not printed + it did not mention the company but it did say "my interview was scheduled with a US based Company: Thus the email from the employer may come in handy.
Anyways shall wait untill appointment letter is Issued.... Will review it and give my feedback .

Dear Fazal,
We find that several Multinational companies hire a Resident representative in India and he goes about recruiting people. It is similar to what software firms are doing. The software firms obtain an order from a foreign company and employ people.
In this case the person hiring is an individual. In my opinion the person who hired you will be getting a lumpsum amount from which he pays your pay.
As you have indicated that you will revert to us with full details we shall comment upon hearing from you.

dear fazil,
you are right you will be an employee of the Indian representative and not to the original company.
you may continue till you wish n gets another job.
don't give any bond etc.
go for another job, where the company hires you, gives offer / appointment letter and yourself confined about it.
best of luck.
don't panic.

I did revert to the employer on this issue, He said he is in process of starting a firm where i and He himself will be serving as after hours for the company in US. current sal provided to me is $880 approx with bonus 8.33% + leave 30 days/ mind u NO national holiday and work 5 days a week... Shud i trust or not ? Although i did get my sal on time... But i am sure this person is mintin money from US co for my services to US co.
For info- I do talk to my dept manager in US on phones but did not discuss terms with US people + here this employer have asked me not to talk about my salary to US manager etc.. But i wud love to be a direct employee with US based Company.
Thus confused....
The offer letter was emailed to me but never on a letterhead, I trusted this fellow and i feel i have been FISHED.
What u suggest... Regards...
