Hi,
What is the present status on contribution to PF,Their are lot of issues on that.Whether Basic+DA or as per the PF definition of wages as per the contract of employment. Hence the question of Mini.basic does not arise. However the department taking a view that Min.wages should be min.basic for PF.In my view it is wrong. They can do so unless the definition of wages under PF act is changed. When their is a contract of employment prevails, that alone need to be taken as agreed wages. The only question the employer need to check that whether the wages as per the contract of employment is more than the min. wages no issue. It should not be less. The department should not question, what should be the min.basic, when the contract of employmnet exist. It may be anything from 0 to 6500.
