The initial role of an HR professional in a company could vary, depending on the structure or the type of service or production it provides.

If you are a new entrant with qualifications, then some companies will take you as a Graduate HR Trainee. In some HR structures, it would be HR Officer/Payroll, for example. In some situations, depending on expertise and qualifications, you could be an HR Consultant, HR Manager, or even an HR Associate or Coordinator.

If you are thinking of an HR career, most importantly, you have to be a people person, understand their behavior, employment welfare, and the vision of the organization.

Hi Priya,

The role of an HR professional initially starts with hiring people and extends to employee retention. Some of the key roles include recruitment, training and development of employees, organizational development, being a bridge for communication, managing employee performance, advocating for company policies, handling wages and benefits, fostering teamwork and team spirit, and emphasizing the significance of strategies.
