Hi All,
I am working with a mid size firm and we have a combined washroom. One of our male employee creates mess in washroom. I gave him 2 times verbal warning but he repeats it again and again.
Office boys also gets pissed off when they have to do the sweeper's task and that too repeatedly.
Please help how to help him as this is now becoming a hygiene issue.
Regards,
Deepali

Ya I am total agree with Smith, Just make a note in toilet notice board, and hang it their, as you already asked to that convict (employee) just tell him about the neatness in front of 4-5 people, in this case you have to be very straight just say softly whatever you want to tell him, don’t loose your hamper it will help you out. You will clear say about the cleanness issue, and he will fell shame on front of others.

This is a common issue for a places where you have common toilets, its always advisable to put a notice about basic things in toilet.
Issue a HR Memo addressing to all about cleaning and hygiene in restrooms and request people to bring those people into notice who do not take care of these things, it will be an indirect indication for him.
Still if he doesn't understand talk to him in public and tell him to lean these basic things (Be polite and professional while talking in public, he shouldn't feel offended)
i am sure it will work.

Hi,

This person needs training. Perhaps he is either careless or genuinely doesn't know the civilized way of using the facility. In case he is careless and has not bothered to take your warning seriously, you might wish to escalate the matter to higher management for issuing him a stern message. However, in the other case (he doesn't know the civilized way of using the facility) please ask discreetly another male colleague who is respected for his attitude and persona in your organisation to help train him in use of this common facility.

Hope one of these will work.

Regards,

Deepak
