We are operating a textile processing unit in kerala. It is in a beginning stage.
In this connection it may be verified and confirmed that the minimum wages (kerala) is applicable to this industry.
Explanation on our operation.
We are collecting knitted cotton frabric form knitters or garment manufactures and the same will be bleached/washed with the help of machines and required chemicals and the same will be delivered to the sender itself. Basically it is a job work and we are getting our price on kg basis. The senders/our custiomers are from tamil nadu
1- please clarify the minimum wages provisos under Kerala is applicable to this industry?
2- it is also observed that minimum wages are notified for hand loom industry, textile manufacturing industry, and hosiery/garment manufacturing industry. What is the satus in this regard?
