If you have been a member of PF for at least five years you can apply for advance from PF (not withdrawal) by applying in form 31 through the employer. Regards, Madhu.T.K

Dear All,
I am working with my present organization for more than 5 years. I want to apply for an advance from my PF for alteration/repair of my house. Please suggest:
1. The house for which I want to apply is more than 15 years old, but I have recently purchased it. Can I apply for the PF advance for alteration/repair of the same?
2. What documents are required along with Form 31 and the declaration form to be submitted to the PF office?
3. What is the normal time for the issuance of the advance?
