Understanding CTC, Salary Deductions, and Tax Implications in Employee Compensation - CiteHR

Hi, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to accounts. Anyhow, I just got appraised, and the package is 4 P.A. But my monthly salary after all deductions comes up to only 29k. Is this okay?

Deductions Breakdown

Here are my deductions: My Gross monthly (as per offer letter) is 31,448. After deductions of yearly Employee contribution PF - 13,925, Medical Allowance - 8,703, and then monthly deductions, EPF @ 12% - 780, Professional Tax - 183, Income tax - 1,500 (in 9 installments starting this month to end in March).

So, is this okay? Please let me know your valuable thoughts on this. I thought if I get a package of 4 P.A, my salary would be around 31k at least, but it seems almost 4k is going in deductions for tax and other stuff.

Also, is there any way to save this? Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks,
Gobind.
