We just launched a sister site related to Sales and Marketing management. This is the second of the Cite Management Portals, and we will be starting promotions for this site in a couple of days. http://www.CiteSales.com
Eventually, we'll be launching similar boards on other management topics [in about a month's time]. The goal is to create a cluster of management-related portals that can later be combined into a huge network of management professionals from all areas of specialization.
Let me know your thoughts on the new website. If you want to participate in discussions on CiteSales, you will need to register on that portal individually [because the daily digest is sent through the registrations]. Also, please feel free to refer the new portal to any Sales professionals you know - in your office or personally. We need the initial boost to get some active members on that portal.

Thank you for the references. The idea is to develop a complete picture. Once we have all the related portals up and running, we will create a head domain portal that will summarize all the other smaller websites and provide an overall outlook of what's happening in the management world. This process will likely take about a year to develop (that's our deadline - August 2006).

The CiteSales website targets the Sales Managers, Trainers and to some extent the executive [though its mainly for the decision makers - those who are formulating the strategies]. The sales/brand managers I've met do keep extremely busy but I am sure this website will eventually become a constructive entertainment kind of thing and they will start browsing the website in lunch breaks or after they get back home. In a way they'll be more in need of a break than human resource managers so I'm thinking adding what leo said about this field’s dynamic nature - it may actually soon surpass CiteHR.
BTW.. what do you guys think about the other websites? CiteFin will be difficult to start-up and so will Citeops. If any of you have any suggestions regarding the categorization of forums in the other websites please do send me a PM.

I have one request: I need to re-register on the forum. I don't mind doing that, although if you plan to launch more forums on different management topics, I would suggest enabling a single login for all the forums. Logging in separately to different forums can be quite tedious.

The login issue will be taken care of once all the individual websites are up. What we're going to do is have a central website that will allow you to view a summary of all the websites. From this main website, you will also be able to control which sites you want to be registered with. Similarly, users will be given an option when they are registering for the first time to extend their membership to all or any of the other websites.
