Now adays I ve majorly seen the variable component (incentives) prevailing in BPO industry. Other Industries could be doing it but very nominal part & for some specific jobs.
In BPOs it is majorly ar advisor or an agent level. where 30-40% is variable earned on the parameters set in different projects. Like collections, sales, Tech support etc.
