I am attaching following for your information:
1) Amendments made on 1.12.2009 to environment impact assessment notification (including procedure for conducting public hearing) under Environment Protection Act and Rules.
2) Amendments to Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules 2000 notified on 11.1.2010 alongwith press release explaining the amendments. (As per one of the amendments, no horn can be used in silence zones or during night time (10 pm to 6 am) in residential areas except during a public emergency.)
