There are two types of skill matrix, one is existing skill matrix and another is desired skill matrix. For preparing the desired skill matrix, one should have Job descriptions/Position Descriptions filled by superior of job holder. In this form superior will have to provide the skills required (Desired and not of current job holder) for particular position. It may include Age, Qualification, Past Experience required, type of industry (Having exp. with), special knowledge, any other requirement.
So this information will go in desired skill matrix of positions with various departments.
