Dear Team
Mr. Roy J. George, Vice President – HR, Pricol, Coimbatore, who was attacked in his cabin by a mob of workmen died yesterday(22-09-09). Mr. Roy was earlier employed with Suzlon Energy Ltd. The news flashed in “The Hindu” about this attack.
This news is a big shock to HR fraternity.
The HR professionals are often becoming targets/victims of the rising IR issues in this region. Putting derogatory posters, attacking the HR professionals have become frequent incidents nowadays. Some of the Unions with extremist ideology are behind these incidents.
This issue has to be taken up in the appropriate forums by all the Employers’ Associations/HR Groups to put an end to these barbaric acts.
