Hello,
We are planning to organize an activity to refresh our employees and motivate them. This could be a management game or a team-building exercise. It should incorporate corporate lessons as well as be fun. We have around 100 employees divided into teams, and we aim for the participation of each team member.
Kindly suggest some efficient activities.

Dear Swati,
Why don't you ask your company's training manager to look into it? I assume your company has a dedicated training professional for soft skills. If there is no trainer, that's unfortunate.
There are many threads posted on this site regarding games and learning exercises; all you need to do is "search."

Hi Mahajan,
Just go through this, we have practiced the following:
1. Give one or more balloons to the employee and ask them to keep it in the air as long as possible (Balloon is the task given to him). This will improve their concentration.
2. Make a team and ask the team to keep the balloons in the air as long as possible; this will improve the team effort.
3. Draw a simple diagram on a piece of paper and hand it over to one employee. Ask them to express it to the others through other ways except talking.
4. Draw a simple diagram on a piece of paper and hand it over to the employees. Ask them to express it to one employee and ask some employees to disturb the drawing employee. This will improve concentration.
5. Blindfold one employee and place something in one location. Ask one team to direct them to the correct location and another team to disturb them. This also improves concentration and team effort.

There are two really good books on training games that you may find in any good shop:
1. "100 Training Games" by Gary Kroehnert (published by Tata McGraw Hill).
2. "The Big Book of Team Building Games" by John Newstrom (published by Tata McGraw Hill).

You can divide them into two teams and ask them to chat one-on-one. When a person from one team loses, the other team replaces them. The important thing is that they don't have to use "me," "my," or "mine" words during the conversation. Try it; it will help you in team building.
