Hi Malini,

This is for those who debate on Indian culture and Western culture. The post refers to aspects other than recreational activities, which we are lacking.

Even I don't think the current Indian culture is the best in the world. What do you say?

Shiv

I start with only one "Citizenship"...................and list can be at least 10. What do you say the best in Indian Culture?

Citizenship, social responsibility, respecting women, cheating, bribery...

When considering the example of women, they often express a desire for freedom, which they already possess. The primary obstacle for women is often themselves.

I agree with you, Shiva, but when we point out issues, we should also come up with the solution too. Not only in India, but many countries are facing these issues. What do you say?

Do you think women have enough freedom? Forget freedom, do they have enough security? Women may be the first enemy of women (not applicable in all cases), but when you compare the impact with their security-related factor, the impact is very small.

Though women have stepped forward in every field, they are still dominated by men.

1. Wages for women are less compared to men in the labor field.
2. The illiteracy rate of women is greater than that of men.
3. Child marriages are still ongoing.
4. Men work at the office alone, but women have to work at home as well as the office. How many men are helping their wives equally with household issues?
5. Even in this fast-forward generation, women seek permission from their parents and husbands for most of their tasks, but do men follow this?
6. Do women have security?
7. How many men respect women as women respect men?
8. Female children are killed right away after birth. You can still see this happening in many villages, and a lot more.

When we talk about women, out of 100 cases, 90+ will be because of women. Not all women are moral and ethical.

My observation here is, men are more scared than women. Women are brave.

Social Responsibility:

Before delving into this topic, let us first discuss whether we ourselves have social responsibility. We observe our own parents, relatives, siblings, children, etc., dumping garbage on roads, spitting in public places, misusing government property, and so on. As citizens of this country, do we have any social responsibility to raise awareness among our family members, friends, and relatives? If every citizen of India can uphold this, then everyone will have social responsibility.

Cheating:

Cheating doesn't need elaborate explanations and reasons. It starts from our homes. We deceive our parents by lying, even though we know how hard they work to secure a bright future for us. They are the sole source willing to give everything for us; yet, most grown-up adults abandon them to their fate as they grow old, or worse, they throw money at them and place them in old age homes. How many of them have devoted enough time to their parents in this fast-paced generation? They find time for vacations, work, pubs, girlfriends/boyfriends, and mindless phone conversations, but they don't spare a moment to call and ask their parents, "How are you?" All of this is also forms of cheating. We deceive ourselves by electing the wrong politicians and so much more.

Bribery:

When we are young, we ask our parents for one or two rupees to buy things from the shops. Parents indulge in bribery. Many vote by accepting bribes. To secure admission in a good school for our children, we pay donations, which are essentially bribes. For a good job, many are willing to pay money, which again is a form of bribery. Frankly speaking, without bribery, many tasks remain incomplete. Incentives serve as a form of bribery to expedite work completion. And much more.

Issues caused by women towards other women have less impact compared to those caused by men towards women. A woman in an in-law position can be responsible for harming a new female family member, with assistance from her husband and son. Men, on the other hand, can lead to women losing everything - their parents, life, future, relationships, fame, and respect.

Parents choosing to act as security guards for their daughters do so due to concerns about their safety. Not all men are moral and ethical. In what ways are men more fearful of women? Although women can be courageous, men often lack the freedom, security, and rights to act as they wish.

- Under the guise of love, consider the number of men tormented or killed by women.
- When considering dowry, tally the number of men burned alive. While a woman in an in-law position may bear responsibility, what about her husband? How is he also involved in such acts?
- Men marry women and perform the rituals, not the other way around, as women seek security over men's needs.
- Women may display bravery, but are all their bold decisions supported by men?

When discussing women, it is noted that out of 100 cases, over 90 are related to women. Not all women exhibit moral and ethical behavior.

It is observed here that men are more fearful than women, despite women being perceived as brave.

That was I like to frame in a sentence: We, Indians have everything (Knowledge, Technology, and ....) but dont have commonsense to live life. Regards, Shiv

No, not only Indians, all human beings don't have common sense. What's new in this? Instead of saying "we," first say "I" because everything starts from "I" and then becomes "WE."

When you yourself cannot accept changes in yourself, how can you expect others to change? That's why first change "I" and then let's talk about "WE." Until and unless "I" doesn't change, no one can expect "WE" to change.

its not the matter of i understanding it, its the matter of making others understand.............

Anyways answers should always be relevant to what others ask..........Look at ur previous posts…………..….Why cant u be clear in expressing in ur views rather than blaming clearly India or Indians

Here goes the conversations :
Shiva : Some times it is harder to feel and accept the change. It come from self, I think I got it and wishing you the same.
Malini ; what change are you talking about????????????????and why is that harder to feel and accept?????????????????
Shiva : Yes,Accepting change is tough. Is it true or not? I asked u what r those changes???
Malini : When u urself cannot accept changes in u then how can u expect others to change that why first change "I" then lets talk about "WE". Untill and unless "I" doesnt change no one can expect "WE" to change.............

Shiva : for clarifications, I'm talking about "WE", better "YOU".- Why cant u be clear Shiva? Anyways this is not the answer to my question
Malini : What do u mean by this Shiva...........Be clear
Shiva : It means I accepted the change and fighting to find that in "WE" (Indians).- Initially u said its tough to accept change now u say u have accepted change...........hmmmmmmm......but u will not mention that change
Malini : What changes have you accepted and in what way are you fighting that in "WE" (Indians).................
Shiva : The art of progress is to preserve order amid change and to preserve change amid order.I think You understood. - If u have accepted any changes and fighting for we then why dont u reveal it clearly????????

Hello, my dear friend. You always post about change, change, and more change. I haven't even asked you what that change is or how you made it, but you never respond to my inquiries. Please, first respond by explaining what changes you have accepted. If not, let's not prolong this any further.
