Can I ask you one thing? The total number of employees minus the total number of employees who have left will equal the total number of present employees, right? Subtracting the total number of present employees from this figure means it will be one (1).
Please explain this.

Annualized attrition percentage calculation will be as follows:
((Total number of employees left (Apr-08 to Feb-09) / average number of employees during the period (average of opening i.e. 1-Apr-08 and closing balance i.e. 31-Mar-09))*12 months / 11 months i.e. Apr-08 to Feb-09)
