Dear sir,
My ex-company, a German MNC, has terminated me without reason. Right now, I am mentally stressed because I have taken a home loan based on this job. If they are not offering any compensation, where should I go to file a complaint? I was receiving a salary of 60,000 per month with a contract until March 2010 for the Commonwealth Games as a project manager. They terminated me citing recession as the reason. Can I file a complaint in court? The company is not registered in India, and they were paying salaries through a different company in Bombay without providing any salary slips. Can I file a complaint regarding this? Please advise on whom to contact for legal action. Is there any government provision to protect us?
Thank you.

From the position and the package you have been enjoying with the MNC, I feel that your demand for compensation is not maintainable under the Industrial Disputes Act or any other labor Act in India. However, possibilities of recovering any compensation under any other civil procedure have to be tapped with reference to your contract of employment or appointment order. I hope a more detailed opinion from other members will come to help you.

Dear Sushil,
Maybe as a part of the contract being terminated, you can ask for the amount that has to be compensated. Please check your contract terms. You are mentally stressed now. Give it a while. Think over good solutions. Discuss with a lawyer and explain what you went through. See if they can provide some guidance.
Don't sit back with the feeling of being terminated. Wake up! You need to somehow find a good job!
Take care.
