I was correct in saying that the network service provider will not charge any amount for this service. However, sending a message to the number could be considered a special number, and hence 3 Rs would have been deducted. But rest assured, there will be no other charges as receiving the messages is free.
All friends, please note that sending a message to 567678 will be charged at 3 Rs, but from then onwards, 3 SMSes will be delivered to your number at no cost.
