Hello All,

I've been reading, writing, and experimenting on Leadership and Motivation. I started to register my thoughts, experiments, experiences, and results at www.anbusivam.com for more than a year now.

I am just wondering how big and organized the leadership/motivational industry is in India. Apart from a few like Shiv Kera, I am not seeing any famous personal coaches conducting leadership/motivational workshops across the nation. I would consider Dr. Kalam as someone who has done great work in lifting the spirits of the Indian Youth but from a different platform.

Regards,
Siva

Cool that you came up with such a wonderful topic. I've met a few more in the process of MBA and have chosen it as my career prospect. I would be happy to be interacting with you to share knowledge if you would like to. All the best...

Hi Anbusivam,

Thank you, Saurabh, for showing interest in my approach and plans for the future. I am involved in a couple of things that will help me better understand myself first and then human dynamics. I am currently conducting a study on motivational analysis, mainly focusing on "Why people do what they do...?"

It's indeed nice to learn that you have chosen this as your career prospect. Would you like to share with me your strategies for pursuing this career?

Best regards,
Anbusivam

Well Siva, I hope you wouldn't mind me calling you by a nickname. If you do, let me know. I don't want any problems, dear.

As you might have seen, I don't have many qualifications or much experience yet. As soon as I'm done with my MBA, I'll be joining as an HR Manager and will be working for around 5 years to build contacts and industry interface. During the same period, as reading is my hobby, I'll read as much as I can about people, their body language, their state of mind, and anything that I can do to help anyone around the world. Not to mention, my other favorite subject is human psychology, which will definitely be beneficial.

So, that's my long-term plan as of yet, but I have it quite clear in my thought process.

Take care,

Saurabh Verma

That's great, Saurabh. You are most welcome, as I would like to be called Siva. I think having an MBA is a great qualification. Yes, as you said, some corporate experience will add value. Have you thought about why 5 years... why not 2 years... to start...? How serious are you about your hobby? Would you like to take up reading as a serious business rather than keeping it as a hobby? Are you planning to do any course on Psychology? What areas of psychology would you like to specialize in? Help anyone around... would you like to think about this "anyone"? Are you interested in dealing with any special group of people? How are you going to help anyone around?

You need not answer all these questions to me, but think and answer for yourself. The more positive questions you ask, the more focused and clear you will become on what you want in life.

Wish you all the best, Saurabh.

Regards,
Siva

Dear Siva,

The hobby of reading that I've cultivated over the years is not just a hobby. I've always loved to read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I mean that I even read books that are out of bounds for me, as long as they are in English or Hindi.

About psychology, it has always been a fascination for me. I have been practicing it since I was 14, although I didn't realize it was psychology back then. Now, I find that after speaking to a person for a while, I can usually predict how they will react in a given situation. I would definitely love to pursue some courses in psychology because it will benefit both my HR career and my role as a trainer.

Regarding the concept of helping "anyone," I interpret it just as it is written in the dictionary. I am always willing to help anyone whom I sense needs assistance. While everyone in this world desires money, when I speak of helping anyone, it transcends the barriers of wealth, class, age, or status.

I didn't understand your last question.

I know I didn't have to answer these questions, but I wanted to because I believe that by sharing this with a like-minded individual, I can improve on the responses where needed.

Warm regards,
Saurabh
