I have got an entire blog devoted to this- "Choose your career not on the basis of what you know but who you are"- Make your passion your profession(Work prisoners and students). The latest article is on the movie Rock on which you might like to check out.
By the way, one should not make sweeping generalisations; there are times when destiny has a strong hand and you can't really take charge even if you wanted to.

What you are saying is right - Choose your career not on the basis of what you know but who you are.
In my presentation I was trying to say the same thing

This is not how you should lead your life. Please read this in conjunction with next slide ie No 6.
As far as destiny goes again you are right. What I wanted to bring out was, if you want to progress and achieve success one shoul not always blame it on destiny for all faliurs and hard times we face.
Further in slide No Ihave mentioned again IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU ARE

In one of the lectures given by SRI SRI HE explaned DESTINY depends on three things:-
(a) YOUR PAST AND PRESENT ACTIONS.
(b) WHAT YOU THINK ie YOUR THOUGHTS.
(c) INFLUENCE OF OTHER PEOPLE.
Lastly this presentation is true copy of an article published in TIME OF INDIA.
