Hi!

I have read your five (5) pages write-up and was impressed with your intent and honesty on this subject matter.

I agree that indeed if we want improvement of the PMS, we must try to see it as a whole and involve as many people from the stakeholders as possible.

This is exactly what we did when we developed our PMS. Indeed, we started basically from scratch. We made a very thorough research worldwide and studied the different types of appraisal systems, their procedures, and the forms/ questionnaires that were existing and popularly used. We studied what small and big companies (local and multinational) did from various industries worldwide. We also studied the problems and complaints about them.

Hence, when we came up with our own five (5) stage PMS, we thought that ours is a much better and superior system than many of the existing systems around the world. We also thought that ours is the only system that is complete, user friendly, easy to use, and applicable to any industry, position, size of company, and regardless of its location anywhere in the world. Our's is also the only appraisal form that gives you a "one-page matrix" form that can be filled up within minutes. Hence, you don't spend hours and hours of your working hours on it, esp if you have thousands of employees in your department.

But, it took my company time, effort, money, and many people to develop our PMS. Hence, I totally disagree with the idea that companies must repeat all the things that we did just to develop what we have already done. Companies may not have the luxury of time, resources, and talent to do it and produce the result that we have made.

Hence, why re-invent the wheel? Why not just buy? Is it wrong to use the products of others which were developed for the very same purpose as what you and many organizations have always aspired to have?

Our PMS is always available to anyone interested. Of course, we SELL it!
