COACHING.
The article is true.
COACHING is one of the most effective tool for
-providing knowledge
-delivering skills
-changing behavior.
-changes in attitude.
etc
The advantages of coaching are
-you can provide one-to-one instructions
-there is privacy for the learner
-corrections are done on the spot
-problems could be bounced quickly
-response time is short
-quick feedback
-change behavior within short period
-quick follow up
etc etc
The only disadvantage is going too close to the employee
[ receiver ]. You need to keep the professional distance
and act as a resource and not as a helper.
The coaching is a major element in the job descriptions
of some job positions like
-SALES MANAGERS
-SUPERVISORS
ETC
TODAY, THERE IS A GROWING DEMAND FOR
" BUSINESS COACHES"
FOR SENIOR MANAGERS, BECAUSE THE SENIOR MANAGERS
OFTEN FALL BEHIND IN KNOWLEDGE LEVEL/ SKILL LEVEL
AS THE TECHNOLOGY ACCELERATES.
