Can anyone shed some light on what the term "excluded employee" means under the PF Act? From what I have learned from a few of my colleagues, these employees are not covered under the PF Act, meaning their basic salary exceeds the limit prescribed in the PF Act. They have the option to choose whether or not to contribute to PF.
Could someone explain what the minimum prescribed limit is according to the PF Act?

Kindly advise me on the pros and cons if employees in the category of Drivers and Office Support Staff are voluntarily excluded from PF coverage when their PF salary exceeds INR 6,500 from the date of joining.
