We have heard this, "Entertain the conscious mind and train the unconscious mind". It will be a pleasure to hear some of the humour you use in your facilitation.

This was a short session on conducting effective meeting and this is how I opened...

"Once there was an international competition going on for making a donkey which used to always nod 'up and down' ( yes) to make it nod 'sideways' ( No ).

Several delegates tried and failed and the last one to go was one of our colleagues this morning - Suresh. As soon as Suresh whispered something in the ears of the donkey it suddeny started nodding 'sideways' vigourusly and Suresh won the competition and the grand prize of $ 100,000.

During the awards ceremony, the press reporters asked Suresh, "what is that you said to donkey which made you successfull ", he repiled, " I asked the donkey in the ears silently, if it was ready to attend our next monday morning meeting and it suddenly started saying no. no. no....

Meetings need not be so bornig and disastrous, todays topic is conducting effective meetings....

Cheers.
