All those who succeed, read a lot. A reading habit is an important ingredient for career success but all of us are awfully busy.
How to take out time from the busy schedule and personal responsibilities to read?
Sharing an article on Five ways for busy people to develop a reading habit.
Feedback welcome :)

Hi,
Thats all very well in the forms of ideas represented but the problem is that it does not usually work !! I am being a lil cynical here but my experience says that it will be very few who will get in to habit of reading once they get in to adulthood stage of their life. Reading anchors its roots in childhood and thats where parents can help to instill the habit ( start reading stories to kids at bedtime etc etc) .

@Nessential: You would be surprised to see how many people acquire a healthy reading habit AFTER they attain adulthood. We at BodhiSutra encourage all our students to develop a reading habit and these are some of the tips which have worked really well with adults who were not "childhood readers".
I agree, the best time to initiate someone into reading is during childhood. However, the hope is not lost even if you have attained adulthood and were not a reader during childhood :)
The point is, reading is such an important ingredient for success, it will almost be suicidal for anyone who wants to achieve success to say, "Well, my mom and dad didn't make me a reader so I can't become a reader ever".
It may be tough because it asks for introducing something in your daily routine which does not exist right now. However, it's worth it and its very much possible :)

Me thinks developing any habit in adulthood would take a lot of effort - simply because it becomes difficult to sustain motivation and also there are so many things competing for your time and attention.
But yes, nothing like it if someone is able to develop a reading habit at grown up stage.
