Some 44 universities are facing derecognition according to news reports.

However, the Supreme Court has halted the derecognition move according to the news at http://mizzima.com <link updated to site home>
Both found at http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...GB332&aq=f&oq=
The derecognition, if it were to be affected, should only affect students who graduate after the dercognition and not those that have already done (HR Experts please correct me if I am wrong).
Have a nice day.

Having exposed to such unfortunate reality; wonder what should be the corporate HR action on this matter with respect to following:
Recruited persons from such universities in prefrence over the otherwise legitimate institutes / universities.
Amendment in Future recruitment policy.
Rectification on past appraisals done which involvs employees from these institutes / universities.
Moreover it is interesting to note press report that protagonist of these so called widely publicized institutes / unversities should compensate the individual losses suffered.

The derecognition is not in force yet and, I think, some of them are fighting the decision in the courts.
Buju, instead of cuttting and pasting the list, you should just have given a link to a press report.
Have a nice day.

it was not the right thing to do from your side...........
imagine the plight of the students who have enrolled for MBA programs through these universities....
students pay anywhere between 2 - 8 lakhs to get admission for MBA...
has anyone ever wondered what will happen to those kids...
