Hello Ilavarasi,

While the idea is good, can you pl elaborate what exactly does the company mean by 'company values'? Pl note that the definition could be quite different from individual-to-individual & company-to-company--fortunately or unfortunately.

First & foremost, for any 2 parties [be they individuals or companies/entities] to share something/anything ['values' are on a much higher pedestral], there has to be 'mutual trust'. Does this exist between the employees & the company? If yes, your job is much easier. If not, you do have a very tough task on your hands, since you FIRST need to create the mutual trust.

Looking @ your query from another angle, since you used the words 'Management is expecting', was any attempt made by the management or HR to find out the REASONS of such a situation cropping-up in the first place? Unless one knows the reasons, how can anyone suggest, let alone implement any suggestion(s)? This would bring us back to the point I mentioned above--MUTUAL TRUST. Unless this exists, any attempt to find the reasons would also, most likely, hit a stone-wall--meaning none of the employees would come-out openly & transparently. Hope you get my point.

Coming to the fact you mentioned--'.....60% of our staff members are not so educated........', actually, I think this is more a blessing than a limitation. Somehow, education tends to stratify/harden the opinion-forming mechanism [mentally& emotionally] among people. The category of people who form a major chunk of your company would take time to get convinced/handled, but once convinced, they rarely change their stance/stand [unlike the educated lot]--basic human psychology, which our politicians use ( or should we say, Manipulate/exploit) to great advantage, if you have noticed]. Another aspect of such a category is: they tend to think more often thru the 'heart' than from the 'head' [which I guess is the prerogative of the educated :-)]. So, any idea that you wish to implement ESSENTIALLY & INVARIABLY has to bear this factor in mind.

Hope I have not confused you further--do let me know :-)

Rgds,

TS

Hi,
Management always expects the best out from every employee. Nevertheless, HR is little on a higher note, which says that expectation is to be delivered as intended by the Management/ Organization alone.
To drive the company values, the company that you reffrered has to coerce what they want you to do in order to deliver values to the employees. Ask your employer FAQs before you decide by your own coz there is a point you got to remember is that the company is expecting something from you and that "something" should be understood before you tug it.
All the best!!!

Thank you all
Let me elaborate my question... my project is exactly motivating & moulding my members.. ie matching my organization's culture... we expect a "Yes Attitude", Taking Ownership etc... the reason why i mentioned about education is that.... they dont possess a diplomatic language they are too direct... one way i found was story creations... telling stories and arriving at a particular element and motivating them to do so..... second is that asking questions that will make them to probe themselves.... so kindly give your suggestions how can i communicate them & Motivate them

Hi,
It is easy to say "No" than to be affirmative. "Yes Attitude" will be stronger if the career vocabulary is pillared. While speaking about how to motivate, a ppt with Analysis on providing data/ examples, Questionnaire on Motivation and Attitude, Give them group ativities and ask to strategize on what they observe. For instance, if there is a situation that it requires and Yes attitude but wrongly pursued by an induvidual and doesn't own it with situation, what could happen...
Such things actually construct, build and create thoughts that how important is language learning and to shape them in optimism.
