Dear Members, During COVID lock-down when few reliefs were announced by GOI there was an announcement regarding EPF that contribution by both Employee & Employer will be reduced to 10% from 12% for the period of 3 months i.e. May, Jun & Jul.
My question is, How the contribution of Employer was broken down to EPS & EPF?
Also as per the Press Conference of FM N. Sitharaman on 12th Nov 2020, there was an announcement on ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT ROJGAR YOJNA SUBSIDY support by the central govt. Central Govt to provide subsidy on EPF contribution for two years in respect of new eligible employee employed after 01st October 2020 in the following scale -
1. Establishments employing up to 1000 employees
2. Establishments employing more than 1000 employees
My question is whether the count of employees is over-all strength of an establishment or it is the number that will be hired after 01st October 2020?

@Shivendra
simply 2% benefit to employer and employee was the spirit of the past months and was available to the establishments who submitted challan and paid it within due date
atmnirbhar 3 notification is not yet published by EPFO, but soon it will be clear, subject to certain conditions, 1) gross salary of new employee should not exceed 15000/- per month 2) the new employee is either fresher or have been unemployed due to pandemic 3) base manpower of establishment would be counted sept 2020 and (a) at least 2 or more fresh eligible employees are required to get the benefit of the scheme for the establishments below 50 employees (b) at least 5 or more for establishments above 50 but below 1000
let the official gazzate get published for more clear picture
