What you say?
I have seen many postings on Time Management, all they talk about managing the work/task in specific time by mode of urgent or important and others.
So is it all about managing time or managing tasks??
What you say??

Dear Amit,
I would say that both time and work go together.....If you want to finish task then you have to do that on time........
Task with priority should be finished first....that is also time based!
in nutshell, one has to manage time to manage work and vice-e-versa!

Thanks Chaitali, Can you share some bulleted points how do we manage time? For example to manage work we have lots of methods like 80/20, urgent/important. Do you have any idea. Regards Amit

Hi Amit,
We really manage time to manage our work. This is the better way to understand this. Suppose you have one piece of work to do which may take an hour. If u will manage your time and try to complete it in 45 minutes means u have managed ur time and eventually ur work. Now u have 15 minutes spare to manage some other work and at last u can sit behind and relax :).

Dear Amit
It is the time which needs to be managed as it is limited. The work is abundant and we need to prioritise it to manage by accomodating it within the available time. The best way to measure the time management is to check all the works in our priority are completed well before we leave the office and we move home satisfied.
However it is rather easy to say than managing, but the key to success.

Dear Amit
less work+more time=makes no difference, u will complete easily
more work+less time= makes a huge difference, wont be easy for completing the task.
So its time what you manage depending on work....
Work cannot be managed, it can only be scheduled based on time.

Dear Amit,
The true fact is that neither we can manage time nor we manage time.Time is an eternal thing which is a constant, what is variable is our own activities.
When we normally discuss time management or try to do time management,we actually try to manage our own activities.
Time management is nothing but...being proactive..planning in advance, working as per priority.
No body in this world has ever managed time,God has given same 24 hours per day to all of us,how we decide to spend it it all depend on us.
