As per the Factories Act.1948, on which of the following salary Heads amount, overtime is to be paid.
Salary Heads
1. Basic
2. Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA)
3. Fixed dearness Allowance (FDA)
4. House Rent Allowance (HRA)
5. Conveyance Allowance
6. Bus Transport Allowance
7. Washing Allowance
8. Adhoc Allowance
9. Special Allowance
10 Shift Allowance

The OT is to be paid on Basic+DA+Variable DA , the method to be followed for calculation Calculate total of above for 1day. Suppose OT hours in a particular monthis 24 hours then OT payabnle - 48 hours = 48/8 = 6 days. The concerned worker has to be paid 6 days wages on above calculation.

Hi,
Please read carefully the defination of nwages in factory act. The OT has to be paid on all components of weges what so evr it may be. We sought opinion of proinent lawyers on this.

Ambiguity
You have two allowances namely Conveyance allowance and Bus Transport allowance. I am sure you must have signed a settlement. If there are two allowances of similar nature. purpose of this can be questioned and Courts even can say that to avoid other benefits, you have named them so.Kindly examine this carefully.
Logic for not including others
HRA is to assist housing and whether h does OT or not, he gets paid a fixed sum Same logic holds good for Washing allowance as well.
Night Shift Allowance
If the employee is asked to do OT beyond the hours specified for Night Shift Allowance, the said allowance need to be paid as single
