Human beings are a dynamic lot given their varying levels of intelligence, emotional quotient, conditioning and attitude. The book however, generalises way too much in terms of dividing humankind into two very generic categories - men and women. The approach that all men are alike and so are all women doesn't really cut any ice with me.
Just my 2 cents.

My point of view.... is
I agree to wat u r saying that book divides human kind into two very generic categories-men & women however,i think that this book was writen keeping in view certain traits and responses when we talk about relationships & partiicularly the relationship with the opposite sex.So if one read this book w.r.t. improving the relationships & understanding ur partner's ,then this book serves to be a useful tool.
Yeah all men & women are alike... yet ... there are sumthings very common in all men & all women wen we talk abt relationships..

Talking of relationships, I feel that Ed deBono's How to have a beautiful mind is a far better book. It doesn't apply cliches like Men are..... and it gives a wonderful perspective to the world of interpersoanl relationships.
Its a must-have for everyone.
