I need one suggestion please help me out.
I am working as an HR-Executive in a software company in Gurgaon from past 3 months , this is a company of 12 employees(including CEO and Director).
My boss wants me do some accounts work on Tally(TDS, Payments, Receipt, Balance sheet etc)including HR work also as there is no one in the accounts dept. . As an HR i m not willing to do the work of Accounts because it shows the -ve impact on my profile. also i had discussed these things with my boss that i can't do accounts work then he replied me that it will be simply a data entry on Tally, as i am the fresher at that time i had accepted to do the same but now they want me to focus more on accounts.
Even my colleagues use to say that its not your job.
What should i do???? Please let me know fast.... should i go further with this or should I straight a way say no to my boss...

Dipti I would like to say you start looking another job which is purely a HR related. In the mean time you just understand Accounts and the main and important thing is TDS on salary. I am also sending herewith form 16 for your referance if there is any problem let me know, Accounts is also important this will help you in future whenever u will start your own business.

Obviously i like HR. And i want to know that if i would have switched this job now then it will be questionable thing to my career that why did i left the job within 3 months only. Also plz tell me if any opportunity is there in your organization. My prefered locations are Hydrabad, Noida, Lucknow or any where in North India.

Dear Dipti,
If you are comfortable doing both. You can do both. Negotiate salary with your boss as you are doing extra job.
There will be extra work ofcourse but you will also earn and learn more, so no harm in it.
You can also request your boss to give you a cert mentioning both when you leave the job.
If you do not want to do this accounts job at all. Then as mentioned by others earlier, look for a new job then resign.
Do what u want u dont need advise from others for this.

Firstly if you have previously agreed to also assist them in Accounts along with HR than it becomes necessary for you to stay on your word.
But if it is bothering you so much that you are not able to digest the unecessary pressure, please learn to say no.
Dont be very direct, avoid it telling that you have other pending stuff in HR. If you dont have anything, then please create some work for yourself of your choice.
Or if you can manage to do it then, tell them you surely understand that the necessity of the accounts work, and you dont mind helping them for sometime but along with that also tell them that you will start with a search for a Accounts Ex. and recruit one at the earliest.
Believe me it is no harm to have an exp. in HR + Accounts, so if you feel so please take it as an opportunity where you can positively negotiate at the time of your appraisal.
Please try your best to stay before resigning; only if it is not avoidable than you have no choice.

I am not really sure, whether leaving your job in 3 months would really help you.... See if you could stay for some time, and poarch you Manager to let you appoint an Accounts person.

You can avoid mentioning your 1 month experience in your resume.
Look for a new job and ensure that you brief the person whom you recruit in your place about this.
Else we will have a similar post 2 months down the line from him / her. :) LOL

I can understand the problem you are facing and I suggest you not to resign the current job until you get a right job. In one way its good for you for handling multiple activities but you are having only 3 months of experience in HR. If you resign this job this 3months experience will not be counted so it will be lost, and you have start your career from the beginning. its not advisable for you to start the career again from the first. Please try to gain at least 6 months of experience, already you're having 3 months try to complete another 3 months so u can get good pay with experience isn't it?
You start searching for new job n a good organization don't apt for small organizations and which do not add any value to your career. so though u try to catch a big fish where you can groom yourself well. until you get a good offer try to manage. when you are doing your resume for next job pls don't mention the finance related work in it. Talk to your current boss and get your job description clearly and do the work that related to hr. so it wld reduce your work load. I will I'll check out with my peers and I'll show u a good opportunity. forward me ur resume to my email id
