Well, I urgently need it at this stage. I am going through a serious mid-career bump/slump in a very odd situation, and I am completely lost to steer it in a steady direction. I am qualified, trained and experienced.... still, here in India, I feel completely stranded.
I would highly appreciate anybody giving me some leads/suggestions on where to find such benevolent HR persons...
It seems, they are all too busy to find a perfect match for their corporate clients!! Of course, there the money/commission is!!! I understand.
They hardly have patience or give effort to judge it from the candidate\'s perspective.

please provide ur brief problem here in, if one wants an answer then he has to clear his question first.. untill experts will not understand your question, problem or issues no one would be able to help one out.
your way of putting intimates you are mostly disturbed or right word may be in a stage of higher dipression. please provide details , sure this community will help you.

First of all it's neither depression nor any kind of disturbance that drove me to post this query. It's part of the reality, unfortunately, that here in India the concept of a sincere candidate-focused Career-shift Counselor and Guide is virtually non-existent....unless of course somebody wants to counsel you to get enrolled in one of those ubiquitous Management Institutions and Training programs with the promise of a job. If you search the web, in forums like MouthShut and others, grievances keep pouring in from job aspirants who get regularly ripped off to the point of frustration by questionable HR firms whose job-posts are available even on all major national job-portals. This is reality, and there's no denying of it.
Anyway, I still believe there must be some experienced ones who run such dedicated and sincere career-shit counseling service for their candidates by doing a prudent SWOT analysis, may be!!. ..... And that's exactly what I am looking for.
If you know any such high-level and experienced HR counselor, I would highly appreciate your leads.

You are right , it's a fact in India. That comes from the difference in reality of job prospects between Indian and foreign market.
Being an Indian, you should be able to understand the perception that we Indian are used to have w.r.t. change.
We are averse to change to the point of being even negligent about it's positive outcomes.
My rhetoric is to drive home the point that "Career Shift in India is not looked in a positive way".
You do not come across candidate-focused-career-shift coach because corporate are not willing to buy this philosophy.
What a coach can do , if you do not have a field to play !!
Please do not get disheartened by my comment, because, i, have gone through such phase and by grace of god came out of it.
I am not a coach but probably i can share my experience but you will have to give more inputs about your background.

Unfortunately, here in India we the Indians are sort of programmed to be happy to be a part of the social, political, religious ..... and even corporate bandwagon!! Thanks to our inherently subservient nature...perhaps a legacy of our history. Whatever!! No wonder, research and innovation has plunged to the bottom in this country of eminent scholars.
I understand, what's left for me now is to count on grace of god as you mentioned. Not sure whether I will get it though, since I don't follow any religious bandwagon in this country!!
Here's how I got stuck, in brief:
I have, in all, over 11 years of hands-on experience in IT both as a professional in India (independent consultant for clients....not in IT corporations!!) and as an academic outside of India (in western programs, abroad). I have Masters in IT and I am also a trained and certified Project Manager and Agile professional. I am also a western-trained educator/trainer. My most recent (5+ yrs) of experience, unfortunately, was as a successful academic, outside of India.
To further my career as an academic I need a PhD (3 yrs part time, at least!)....and to further my career as an IT professional/PM, I need Industry-level experience in corporate environment....and a recent academic is NOT welcome as a professional in IT industry. I am STUCK!!
I stay update through professional development activities, as much as I can afford....and look forward to MBA as well, only once I know the industry/function I am serving. I am not averse to PhD either, only if I can get back into academia with just an MS and without publications etc.!!! However, the risk is, if I gamble on PhD now (without knowing for sure which way I am going....academia or professional), I will be further away from the industry....and might end up being a depressed, frustrated and messed up scholar after 3 years!!! They dn't need a PhD in industry for sure!!
What to do??? Last 11 years of commitment to IT apparently has no value now, 'cause I failed to join the bandwagon in India early in life??? Any other relevant industry/function where I might try my luck....except Sales & ITES/BPO etc.??
Any lead from any experienced HR professional!!
That's why I needed an experienced and sincere career counselor with whom I could have an open discussion to find new opportunities/possibilities to come out of this bottleneck ASAP.
