Hi, my PF claim was rejected citing reason "1) eps contribution not deducted for full service period pls clarify and 2) claim already settled". I only had this one employer who deducted PF where I worked for 11 months (Dec 2021-Oct 2022). I put the withdrawal request in April '23. I don't understand these reasons because 1.) I don't have an active EPS account on my passbook and 2.) I don't have multiple employers- only one employer 3.) This is the first time I am withdrawing PF. Can someone help me understand the reasons for rejection and what I could do to improve, I would really appreciate it.

Hi

For employees joining after Sep2014, without any existing PF deductions & in case the PF wages is above Rs.15000/- such employees are not eligible for Pension contribution and even the Pension contribution to credited in EPF only.

In your case you joined by Dec 21 with no previous PF. Also your PF wages should be above Rs.15000/- hence Employer might not contributed to Pension contribution. So you need to submit clarification through your employer to respective PF office.

Not sure of second reason "claim already settled"

Please note that when you claim PF in less than 5 years PF office will levy intrest and the same will be recovered from your PF amount.

Hello Lakshmi, thank you so much for your response. Would you be aware of how I should be moving forward - as in what documents I need from employer and how should I submit the same when I am making a claim again on the PF portal?

Hi, It is just a clarification letter from employer to PF office justifying the reason for no pension contributions. You company HR should be able to help you.
