Requesting your guidance on this : We have engaged some employees who were having old IP (about which our previous HR wasn't know) after joining as a routine proceedure we have generated new IPs. But now because of two number they are not able to get Smart Cards & avail benefits. The regional ESIC inform to continue old IP & transfer contribution from new number to Old number by taking Regional Directors / joint directors approval. Request suggest on this.

The process is, first you need to check if they are registered under ESIC before or not before generating new IP.
If they have ask for their IP number. Go to Insert IP Details and give the IP number there. You will have to give the joining date which is of your establishment (not the old one).
This will fetch the details of his family members which were registered before. you can edit those and print the temporary card.
If by mistakenly you have generated the new IP then transfer the contributions of the IP (which doesn't have a smart card) to the IP (which has the smart card). You can do it either way (old IP to new IP or new IP to old IP). This is because if the contributions are transferred to the IP which has the smart card then the person can avail the benefits smoothly.

Its better you surrender new card to ESIC regional office and request the Employer to make necessary changes in their record and sent a request through the Employer to make necessary changes in your IP number and Contribution to the ESIC Regional office.

i have a query kindly sort out it...
we have an employee who had the old number of esi and he left job...after some time when he joined our organization again then he did not tell his old number to our personnel executive.
And we by misunderstanding we created another TIC for him. When he went to esi local office for photo done then esi personnel told him that you can not avail the another esi smart card because you have already done the photo on previous esi number. kindly contact to your HR for promptly cancel this new esi number and give us a written statement of transfer of your 5 month contribution of new esi no. to previous no. And also insert your previous number with effect from your new D.O.j.
After that i made all the paper of transfer of new esi no. contribution to previous number and submitted to esi local office.
And i also deposit his 50 rupees fees for issuing the smart card on old esi number of employees.
In this regards i have a question to you seniors how can i see in online system that his new esi number contribution has transferred or not...I tried to search on I.P Portal employee contribution history but after 4 month its not showing on I.P portal. i also contact to esi local office personnel they also saying that we have transferred his contribution on old esi number earlier few days. but now i check it on I.P Portal employee contribution history..there is nothing like it..
Can you suggest me is there any option in online site through which i can check whether esi personnel has transferred his contribution or not...

Please check your portal and IP Portal whether contribution added your IP account. Otherwise you contact with regional office.
Before taking the insurance No from the portal , ask to your employee whether ESIC Number available or not , it may written format it is better to you in future

he again joined our organisation w.e.f 01/04/2013 when 4 month when he went to esi local office for photo then they told him your photo already done on previous esi no. but u didnot pick up your smart card of old esi no. then he told him to Me i.e HR.
I contact esi personnel. then they told me to cancel his new esi no. and again start his old esi no. w.e.f from his new date of joining. and give us a written statement which esi no. contribution and which period you wanna transfer. and they also told me you will have to pay 50 rupees for getting slip of issuing old esi no. smart card.
i cancelled his new esi no. on 30/09/2013 and insert his old no. w.e.f 01/04/2013.
Then i made a letter head statement in which i wrote suresh yadav new esi no contribution.............transfer into old esi no..............period from 01/04/2013 to 30/09/2013..
then after sometime i contact to esi personnel then they told me your contribution has transferred. IT has passed 20 days, i am continuing checking on I.P portal it is not showing the transfer amount whenever i search in 2013-14, april-sep option....
And still upto till date the employee not received his smart card.
Please suggest is there anyway through which i can check online. and tell me another source of watching whether his contribution has transferred or not..and how many days required to get a smart card.
