Dear Raj
Hi
I am also facing same problem; our locality roads being repairing from last three month. They are starting work on both side roads. I lodge a complaint to http://pgportal.gov.in/; a letter issued by them to Punjab Government but no result seen. In India, we are very use to the facing these types of problem. Only few people have courage to challenge these systems but at the end no response received.

All right Einsteins, Avatar and The Mummy Returns were certainly not in the same league in the first place.
Nor is the cheap CG-infested Aayirathil Oruvan.
Not by the wildest stretch of imagination are these three films in the same league but that’s understandable because Aayirathil was made at a fraction of the budget of the spectacular Avatar or the B-grade no-brainer called The Mummy Returns.

Hello Prof.Raj,
i went thro your article Reema and road work
can u understand the real need or y this problem props up often in indian condition.?
The real problem is partial and intentional blindness to realities.
The civil Engineer or the civil contractor to whom the road repair or construction is entrusted is well aware that the wherever the roads go sufficient provisiopn has to be made for drains, electrical cablings, Telephony cables, and other provisions like cable tv wires ,water pipelines etc. But his contract does not say anything about it and does not impose any penalty for damaging these items . so he closes his eyes does what he is told to do and collects his bill.He is not bothered about the society and overall things .
it is the bureaucracy and unprofessional approach of our fellow countrymen that creates it.Everybody wants to be good in the shortrun only
nobody wants to protest and become a badman by protesting against a road construction wit full faults.
