Thanks for sharing. As far as my experience is concerned, I always advise people to work smart but not harder, with which I also discipline.
What I must work smart for is to make the best of myself and do more things that are beneficial for company. I regard this as my duty and my biggest wish.
All of us have been able to achieve the goals that set out to achieve and there are a lot more things that we are aiming for.
My management style is simple, I exhort my staff to work as a team. We share the same mission which is to push the company forward. In the same farm, we have same mission to work the project out, there are no heroes or heroines.
Just like you stated above, if you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you. It works.
