There is no any standard salary calculation in India.
As part of the Basic there is no any rules but there are many discussions stating the basic should not be less than Minimum wages.
But in some states like Maharastra there is Minimum Special Allowances. Other wise the only purpose of salary bifurcation is to try & reduce the IT of employees & ensure the more take home salary & to reduce the over heads of the organisation
As part of HRA in general 50% on the Basic is exempted for Metro cities & 40% for Non Metro as per the Income tax rules
