Hi
NOT TO FORCE EMPLOYERS TO CONTRIBUTE OVER AND ABOVE STATUTORY WAGE CEILING
Marathwada Gramin Bank was contributing EPF on actual (in excess of statutory ceiling)
Due to heavy loss, issued a notice u/s 9A of ID Act and limited its contribution @ statutory ceiling
RPFC issued a notice, filed a case in High Court, SLP in Supreme Court
At the end, as expected, Supreme Court disposed as “NO INTERFERENCE CALLED FOR”
After almost 3 years, Addl CPFC has issued a circular (27th May 2014) to all RPFO’s asking :-
NOT TO FORCE EMPLOYERS TO CONTRIBUTE OVER AND ABOVE STATUTORY WAGE CEILING
Circular attached for your reading
Thanks and best wishes
