Hi Shweta, Human Resources term has evolved immensely. Now, HR needs to work closely with the business leaders, we call the designation as HR Business Partner. Human Resources function responsibility is to enable people productivity. Improve the culture of the organization with integrity, finally take the organization in the right direction to meet the vision of the organization.
In simple terms attract, select, develop,& retain the talent to meet the organizational goals. This is what HR job. However, in order to do this we need to follow certain policies, procedures which entails organization core values.
